There is grace for you for whatever challenges or hard things you are walking through right now.
Â
Maybe you’re struggling with sickness, anxiety, or batling depression. Maybe you’re dealing with broken relationships, or just feel overwhelmed and maxed out. When you’re caught up in those difficult places, it’s hard to keep smiling and keep going – to pretend that everything is ok.
Â
But God sees and He knows. His grace abounds towards you in your lowest and weakest moments – when it feels like all faith has been squeezed out of you. When it feels like you’ve fallen flat on your face and you can’t get up, God’s grace is there in the arms that lift you up again.
Â
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
Romans 5:20 (NKJV)
Â
The Greek word translated for ‘abound’ in Romans 5:20 actually means to ‘superabound’, to be way over and above; an abundance. We can sometimes think our problems are so big, so dark, that it’s too much for God’s grace. But God isn’t afraid of your problems or your messy places. His grace is more than enough to handle anything that can be thrown at it.
Â
In Romans 5:20 it says, ‘where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,’ but what if you put, ‘where anxiety abounded, grace abounded much more,’, ‘where stress abounded, grace abounded much more,’, ‘where sickness abounded…’, ‘where broken relationships abounded…’, and on and on.
Â
You can fill in the blank for whatever you are going through and God’s grace will always abound MUCH MORE.
