At the heart of location-based Sponsorship is our desire to ensure that no one is left out. By pooling gifts and supporting the programme as a whole, we can provide consistent care and support to the children, students and women within each project, helping everyone receive the support they need. Sponsors can still stay closely connected to the work and see the difference their support is making through regular updates, letters, photographs, stories and testimonies. FAQs What does Sponsorship provide? For Children: 3 meals a day, full-time education & school supplies, health & dental checks, vitamins & minerals, Support from local church, investment in people. For Students: Same as above, but with the inclusion of transportation to and from college. For Women: Dressmaking training, the gift of a sewing machine, learning materials, qualifications & certification, transportation & meals, the guarantee of a paid job upon completion How much does sponsorship cost? Child Sponsorship is £32 per month College Sponsorship is £42 per month and Women’s Sponsorship is £42 per month. Am I sponsoring one named person? No. Your Sponsorship supports the programme you have chosen within your chosen project location, rather than one named individual. This enables us to support everyone within that programme so that no one is left out or waiting to be ‘chosen’ by a Sponsor. Can I choose a location? Yes. When you become a Sponsor, you can choose which available project location you would like to support, or you can select “Where the need is greatest”. Choosing “Where the need is greatest” gives us the flexibility to direct your Sponsorship to the project location where support is most needed at that time. It also helps us ensure that no one within the programme is waiting too long to receive the support they need. What updates will I receive? You’ll receive a Sponsor Update twice a year, sharing how the programme is progressing and the difference your support is making. These include letters, photographs, stories and testimonies from the children, students or women within the programme you sponsor. Your Sponsor Updates will also be available through your personal Sponsor Dashboard. You will also receive bi-monthly updates from our Projects and about our work with women, children and students as a whole throughout the Philippines. Can I add Gift Aid? Yes. If you’re an eligible UK taxpayer, you can add Gift Aid to your Sponsorship at no extra cost to you, allowing us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give. You’ll have the option to complete a Gift Aid declaration when you sign up. Can I change or cancel my Sponsorship? Sponsorship has an initial minimum commitment of 12 months. After this period, Sponsors may cancel their Sponsorship at any time by notifying The Purim Trust in writing or by email. Where possible, we ask Sponsors to provide at least two months’ notice to help us plan ahead and maintain consistent support within the programme.
