Delivering HOPE to those in need since 2018

Shape

We’re a UK registered Christian charity, seeking to deliver HOPE to the most vulnerable.
We do this by partnering with churches and organisations in the Philippines to equip their vision of delivering HOPE and lasting change to their communities. Often, this is through providing education and training through our Sponsorship Programmes.

The story behind The Purim Trust

Our Founder-Director, Esther Branco Dias, has a heart for the most underprivileged people who are living in some of the world’s hardest conditions. Having experienced abuse for many years, Esther understands the pain of hopelessness and rejection, as well as the burden of shame and fear that can come with those experiences.

Through missions in Albania, Africa and the Philippines, Esther has worked with women and children who have faced extreme poverty and incredibly difficult circumstances, including abuse, exploitation, addiction, trafficking and enforced labour.

The Purim Trust was created to provide an opportunity to give people a helping hand up and out of their circumstances, bringing practical support, opportunity and HOPE for a better future.

What we do

We provide practical support, education and opportunities that help children, students, women and families move towards a more hopeful future. Through our programmes and appeals, we seek to meet practical needs, equip people for the future and share the love and HOPE of Jesus.

Sponsorships

Through our Sponsorship Programmes, we support children and college students with education and practical needs, while equipping women through skills training and opportunities that help them work towards self-sufficiency.

Appeals

Our Appeals enable us to respond to specific needs beyond our regular Sponsorship Programmes — from Christmas gifts and Youth Camp to crisis support and other practical needs within the communities we serve.

Ministry & Outreach

Our Christian faith is at the heart of all we do. Through prayer, discipleship, ministry and outreach, we seek to share the love of Jesus, encourage people in their faith and deliver HOPE through both words and practical action.

Our Vision

Our hope is that the vulnerable and marginalised would come to know freedom and fullness of life through experiencing God’s unconditional love. That through our work we could impart HOPE to those who are broken or in need – a HOPE that ignites purpose, restoration and self-sufficiency.

How we work

We work in partnership with churches and organisations in the Philippines who understand the needs of the communities they serve. Together, we identify where support is needed and provide practical help that creates opportunities for children, students, women and families. Through sponsorships, training programmes, appeals and other areas of support, our aim is not simply to meet an immediate need, but to help people move towards lasting change, greater independence and a more hopeful future.

Our Ethos

Our Christian faith is at the heart of who we are and shapes why and how we serve. We believe every person is deeply loved and valued by God and should be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
Through our work, we seek to demonstrate God’s love in practical ways and share the HOPE we have in Jesus, supporting people regardless of their background or circumstances.
