News Newsletter Our September Newsletter 12 October 2023 | Nikola Gordon Share this post What a month of excitement it has been here amongst The Purim Trust team as we have watched our first group of Sponsor Children graduate from High School. We are so grateful for the faithfulness of the Lord in helping them reach this milestone, and along with this comes a new opportunity to help them as they move toward their future careers. Find out more about that in a video update from our founder Esther below. We also have exciting team news! I’ve joined the team to co-ordinate Social Media and Communications, while Kelly has a new adventure ahead of her and we share more about that in this update. Additionally, one of our other team members will be going above and beyond to raise funds for the charity and we would appreciate your support as she challenges herself . If you want to be a part of all the incredible things the Lord is doing through The Purim Trust, then in this update you will find all the ways that we would love for you to get involved! Beverley du Toit – Social Media Co-ordinator Seeing these children laugh, smile and experience a childhood filled with HOPE is why we do what we do!During the latest distribution day, as well as receiving nutritious food, vitamins, healthcare and educational supplies our Sponsor children also had a letter writing workshop to teach them how to update their Sponsors. When you become a child Sponsor you will receive letters from your Sponsor Child every 6 months and have the opportunity to write back to them. Most importantly through your sponsorship you are sowing love, value and HOPE into that child’s life! Sponsor a Child Our first group of Sponsor children have just graduated from high school! We couldn’t be more proud of them and we join in celebrating their incredible achievements. Despite some of the hardest of circumstances in the poorest of conditions, through the power of HOPE, they have made it to this milestone. Thank you to all our Sponsors, Partners and Donors for making it possible for us to be able to provide our Sponsor Children with educational supplies which are compulsory for school registration in the Philippines. Become a Partner College Student Sponsorship We are entering a new and exciting phase of our Child Sponsorship program! With our first set of sponsor children graduating from high school, we find ourselves with a new opportunity to impart HOPE, through College Student Sponsorship. This new project will allow us to support the students as they pursue higher education and college courses. Your Sponsorship of £42 provides for the cost of their college fees and supplies, transportation to and from college, 3 meals a day, vitamins and minerals, church support and most importantly HOPE! Sponsor a College Student Damaris’ Sponsored Cycle! Our very own Damaris (who is our Finances & Accounts Bookkeeper) will be cycling from London to Brighton (55 miles) on September 10th to raise money for The Purim Trust. We are so grateful for her commitment to our work and for going above and beyond to raise money, you can support our work by sponsoring Damaris. Join us in getting behind Damaris in her efforts. Donate to Damaris’ Cycle Farewell to Kelly Last month we said farewell to our Communications and Marketing Co-ordinator Kelly, who has moved to Colorado, USA. Kelly will be completing her third year of studies in Charis Bible College at the Global Training School in Woodland Park, We are so grateful for the time and dedication she has invested in our vision and we wish her well as she is trained to take the Gospel of HOPE far and wide.
