And just like that we are in April and Spring is upon us! Hopefully everyone is feeling a little less cold and enjoying the brighter days.
As usual, there has been lots happening at The Purim Trust over these last couple of months. In March, we celebrated our 7th Birthday – seven years of changing the lives of children and families in the Philippines.
It’s an incredible milestone and we are so grateful that God has given us the opportunity to now be supporting almost 300 children. You can read more about our 7th Birthday and catch up on some of our biggest highlights further below.
We hope you will enjoy catching up on all things Purim in this newsletter – we have an important update about our Women’s Training Programme, an exciting video to share from Carlie & Ashley Terradez from Terradez Ministries, who took time out to visit our projects on their Asia tour. We have also highlighted some children urgently needing Sponsorship and ask you to consider whether you can help.

Last month, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone travelling to the Philippines until later this year, due to family needs at home.
Those who had specifically donated towards this trip have already been contacted and we want to thank every donor again for their support.
We are very excited to share this special video from Terradez Ministries who were able to visit some of our projects with our Church Partners in the Philippines while on their Asia tour.
Terradez Ministries have been huge supporters and Partners of our work, as well as already sponsoring children with us.
They are such a blessing to our ministry and we know they would have been an encouragement to our Church Partners in the Philippines and the communities we work with.

We are looking forward to starting the first course of our Women’s Training Programme which will be dressmaking.
But in order for us to start and get this project up and running, we still need at least 30 Sponsors. That’s 30 people who want to invest into the futures of Mothers and their families to see them come out of poverty for good.
As a Women’s Training Sponsor, your monthly support will cover the cost of the training, equipment and resources, as well as transportation for the women. And most importantly, you’ll be supporting a Mother on her journey to gain the skills and qualifications she needs to create a better future for her family.

As a team we have been reflecting on the significance of the number 7, and since 7 is the number representing completion, we feel, as a charity, we are now completing one season to step into the next. And we are expectant for all that God has in store for this new and exciting season.

Right now, we are needing more people to stand in the gap for children who have lost their Sponsorships.
Our Floating Sponsors are the ones who ensure that a child can continue to receive uninterrupted support until a new Sponsor is found.
They are also the ones who help the children who are in urgent need until permanent Sponsors can help.
