You are destined to make a impact, not just for the here and now, but an impact that will last long after you’ve gone. Your purpose is so big and so great that fulfilling it will touch even generations to come after you.You might not agree with those statements or maybe you feel that your life couldn’t possibly have that much impact; that God could even use you in that way. But God is a big God, and not only that, He is a generational God.God had a plan for Abraham’s life that was bigger than anything he could of imagined – kings and nations would come from him. World history would be impacted by his descendants. Yet he never lived to see those things fulfilled. But he hung onto a promise from God and he knew that promise would impact generations to come.
God told Abraham in Genesis 17:7 (NKJV)
And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
God established a covenant with Abraham and his decendants. It wasn’t just about Abraham’s life. In fact his life was part of a beautiful tapestry that God was weaving together – a master plan that would ultimately result in a Saviour being born Who would change the eternal destinies of billions of people! That’s pretty amazing!
Your life is a part of God’s master plan to bring salvation and HOPE to this world that so needs it. But will you believe it? Will you allow your life to be part of God’s beautiful and eternal tapestry?
