Farewell to David McCarthy

| Nikola Gordon
This month, we are saying farewell to David McCarthy as our Treasurer, as this month he hands over the role that he’s carried for us since we began as a charity 4 years ago. And even for 1.5 years before that, along with Esther, he spent a long time and a lot of work putting together the charity’s foundations and applications for charity status.
He has been one of the main keys to this charity being established, growing in reputation and integrity and has served our work, donors, team and children with a diligent and honest heart in the stewarding of our funds.  So much of what we have been able to do, has been because of David.  To say that we are grateful to him for all that he’s done, doesn’t express enough.  But we see all that he’s contributed, for free and we are so incredibly grateful.
David has also built a legacy here or helping children with integrity – and we vow to continue in that.  David will be missed by our team, in the role of Treasurer.  But we are grateful that he will be continuing in the role of Trustee on our Board for some time longer.
David now hands the baton of Treasurer to another David – David Illingworth, who we’re excited to introduce you to, as our new Treasurer.  David is also a man of integrity, strong leadership, experience, and God’s own heart.  We’re very blessed to have David come and join us in our vision of helping children in the Philippines – and to also see where God takes us in this new season.
