The whole world is suffering right now. And in the Philippines, the situation is extremely bad. More than 50 million people are in lock-down in the Philippines which began in Manila as early as 9th March. With only one person allowed out of the house to go and buy supplies.
This means people are not able to go out to work, no work means no money, and with no government benefits, no money means no food.
We have 100 children in our sponsorship programme, and the sponsor money goes to help take the pressure off a family by providing for one child. But now the whole family, and every family are in a crisis situation.
We want/need to help these families by providing extra donations to our sponsor families, to support them and feed them through this difficult time. So we have a target of £2500 just this month.
