Every donation brings us closer to expanding HOPE and reaching more children and families.
In 2018, The Purim Trust began at a kitchen table.
It was just Esther and her dad, a laptop, a shared conviction, and a heart that had been marked by the children she had met in the Philippines. There was no office. No systems. No donor base. Just a simple belief that we may not be able to help everyone, but we can help someone.
From that kitchen table, HOPE began to expand.
One child sponsored. Then another. Then ten. Then one hundred.
Today, because of your faithfulness, we are consistently supporting over 300 children and young people. Children who once faced dropping out of school are now graduating high school, stepping into college with the prospects of moving toward stable employment and a future beyond poverty.
And it hasn’t stopped there.
Our goal has always been to ignite purpose and build self-sufficiency. So, we launched our Women’s Training Programme, equipping mothers with qualifications so they can gain employment or start businesses of their own.
We have grown, and we are still expanding — and this growth brings responsibility.
The IT infrastructure and operational systems that served us well when we were starting out are now limiting us and need to be updated. As our number of children, donors, and projects has grown, our capacity behind the scenes has been slow to keep pace.
Right now, our only limitation is not the number of children who need help, it’s our operational capacity.
If we want to expand HOPE further to more children, more college students, more women trained, then our infrastructure must grow with us.
So, we are calling out to all philanthropists to help us raise £80,000 by October to upgrade our IT systems and operational infrastructure to improve efficiency, streamline sponsorship management, and ensure we are positioned to grow sustainably. These funds will also enable our international outreach and support regular visits to our projects in the Philippines.
It may sound like a large goal, but if just 8 philanthropists or businesses invested £10,000 each, we would reach it.
