Fund a Laptop Appeal – homeschooling in the Philippines

Due to Covid-19 restrictions children in the Philippines are expected to start homeschooling this August. Which sounds simple enough if you have a laptop or computer. But as our Sponsor children are some of the very poorest, they do not have this type of equipment needed for homeschooling.

Therefore we are determined to find a way for them to continue the education we’ve worked so hard to see they are provided with. The full price of Philippine government approved laptop for education is £130. And with almost 110 Sponsor children that would leave us needing to find over £14,500.

So we’ve manage to pull together the educational costs from the Sponsors donations for their child for school supplies, school uniforms and transportation from the last few months to contribute to the cost of the laptops. Which still leaves us needing to find £10,000+ … NOW.

It will therefore cost us £91 per laptop and we need a minimum of 100 laptops.
